"Is that company 'Feed Bag' sponsoring you?"

No, Gram, that’s Fuel Belt! Thanks, though! Haha, even if she’s off on the names a bit, it is pretty sweet that my grandmother knows who my sponsors are, isn’t it? Even cooler? She follows my races on ironman.com! My family rocks!

Speaking of fueling, check this out:

That there is my first aero bottle! See how I don’t need to move (don’t even need to be awake, apparently!) in order to get my fluids? Awesome!

So training’s been going well. Actually, really well. I’ve now exceeded all of my bests from last year, and my body composition is in a good spot (body fat has come down, but is not as low as we’ll have it for LP). This is all good news as they just posted the start list for St. Croix. Holy Schnikies! We’ve got another good one, folks! I’m pumped! We won’t have quite as many QT2ers heading down as we did for NOLA, but it’ll still be a good group. Among them will be Chrissie, Lauren, Michelle, and Molly. I love having girls around that are interested in training and racing! In a sport that is so male dominated, it’s nice to have a good, little crew of ladies that you can spend time with without missing workouts. This comes in especially handy when the conversation turns to bowel movements, which seems to find its way into nearly every group session in which Tim partakes. May just be a coincidence. Not sure.

Soooo, St. Croix is up next. A week and a half away. So excited! After that, we will take a mid-season recovery week, and then the speed work begins. Bring it!
